Jon Marx
Community Clinical Manager
Jon brings a lifelong passion for service and years-long experience in professional community organizing to Inside Edge. Their background in domestic violence advocacy and reproductive health and rights advocacy is borne of a deep-seated commitment to alleviating the suffering of others and making their communities safer, healthier, and more inclusive. Their experience serving LGBTQIA+ and rural communities throughout the country includes educating communities around difficult subjects such as sexual and domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual and reproductive health. Jon’s organizing philosophy is centered around coalition and trust building, believing that communities can only thrive when we work in solidarity towards our common goals of health, safety, and holistic wellness. They believe that creating deep and meaningful partnerships with community members is critical to advancing health equity and justice.
Prior to joining Inside Edge, Jon served as an organizer for Planned Parenthood in Nebraska and Massachusetts, a Title IX advocate, and mental health advocate. In their free time, Jon serves as the Vice President of the Board of a domestic violence agency in Western Mass, the Treasurer of National Disability Action PAC, and occasional doula. They received their BA in History from Hastings College, and their MA in the Irish Revolution from University College Cork. They also love writing poetry, singing, and playing board games.
What does “Make well known” mean to me?
‘Make Well Known’ means alleviating the suffering of others by centering, amplifying, and uplifting the voices of marginalized communities in health care spaces.
