Daija is a passionate public health professional who cultivates trusted relationships within historically underrepresented communities to promote access to clinical trial education and participation.
With a strong background in disease prevention, surveillance, and research, Daija is deeply committed to health equity. She leverages her experience in community engagement and public health programming to implement initiatives that uplift marginalized voices and strengthen health outcomes. Her work is driven by the belief that sustainable change requires addressing the full picture of what influences a person’s health. Daija specializes in the health of medically underserved populations and brings a heart-forward, community-informed approach to every space she enters.
Outside of her professional life, she’s a proud mom, an avid runner, saxophonist, and lover of food, water, and new experiences. Her work reflects a blend of purpose, passion, and lived empathy.
What does “Make well known” mean to me?
“Make Well Known” means amplifying the voices and stories of those too often left unheard and making health equity more than a buzzword but a call to action to inform, inspire, and ignite change—through empathy, evidence, and intention.
