Glenn Hickman, MPH

Glenn Hickman brings over five years of experience in public health, provider outreach, and community-centered program development to Inside Edge Consulting. A South Carolina native with a background spanning cancer program development, clinical data management, and health education, Glenn is deeply committed to improving healthcare access and outcomes for underserved populations throughout the Carolinas.

Prior to joining Inside Edge, Glenn served as a Provider Outreach Specialist at RVO Health, where he trained healthcare providers on brief tobacco intervention and tobacco quitline referral processes. In this role, he used internal and external data to prioritize his outreach efforts, conducted needs assessments with healthcare system and clinic leaders, adapted training materials to meet the specific needs of diverse audiences, and represented his state client at regional and statewide conferences.

Earlier in his career, Glenn spent more than four years as a Cancer Program Development Specialist at Levine Cancer Institute, Atrium Health, where he managed and analyzed clinical trial data and coordinated lung cancer screenings across numerous counties in North and South Carolina. He developed cancer awareness programs for underserved communities, created standard operating procedures to ensure compliance for breast, colorectal, and prostate screening programs, and organized financial, housing, transportation, and logistical support for numerous patients facing barriers to care. His earlier work as a Contact Monitor with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control deepened his expertise in data analysis and community health education during the COVID-19 response.

Glenn’s background in cancer program development and community health gives him a strong understanding of the importance of patient-centered, equity-driven programs. He is passionate about reducing health disparities and advancing education and outreach initiatives that connect underserved communities to the care they need.

Glenn holds a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Community Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Winthrop University. He is a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) through the University of North Carolina and Duke University, and his honors include the Daisy Award and recognition as one of Elevate Lifestyle’s Top 30 Under 30 Future Leaders of Charlotte.
