Shirin joins Inside Edge Consulting Group as Chief Medical Officer, offering deep expertise in clinical medicine, public health, and enhancing healthcare outcomes. In this role, Shirin is focused on leading innovative strategies that drive health system transformation, enhance patient care delivery, and promote health equity. She is excited to leverage her expertise in health policy, public health, and systems-based care to impact the quality of care and address social determinants of health across diverse communities.
Shirin’s career has been driven by a passion for improving healthcare systems and achieving better outcomes for medically underserved populations. With a strong clinical interest in primary care and integrative medicine, she has worked as clinical faculty at UCLA, providing care across diverse patient populations while maintaining an active primary care and urgent care practice. Her clinical work has been deeply shaped by her commitment to health equity, as she has worked to address complex health issues while promoting preventive care initiatives.
A New Jersey native, Shirin earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy before being part of the inaugural class of the PharmD/MD program at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine & Preventive Medicine at UCLA, where she also earned a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with a focus on Health Policy and Health Management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

‘Make Well Known’ means acting as the bridge between the clinical world and the life sciences—translating complex healthcare realities into innovative, financially sustainable strategies that enable meaningful progress on health equity and the social drivers that shape it.
